I am crazy about seti and anything else having to do with space and our future in the cosmos......................... :-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Absolutly, I think we have already met them. A society advanced enough for space travel should be interesting and helpful. Chances of one with hostile intentions is of course possible, but apparantly not in our neck of the woods.(for now anyway).
2. Until we have the technology to send something faster than we currently know it might be useless. By the time it got anywhere we should have advanced enough to beat it there.... paradox huh? :-)
I want to be a part of something that has the potential to be one of our greatest achievements since the dawn of man. The only suggestion I have is keep in contact with us. Let us know what our cpu time has found.........
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
