Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET must exist! I still think there must be quite a lot of primitive life out there in which case SETI probably wouldn't find them for a few million years. However, the laws of chance suggest that there is intelligent life in the universe - just look on earth, we're here so why shouldn't other species be on other planets?

We should be making contact just as we have on our own planet during the last few hundred thousand years. Ancient explorers navigated the globe meeting new civilisations and setting up trade - maybe this is what we should be doing with ET?

I run SETI@home on my PC at home, it chugs away in the background every evening.
