Personal background
My name is Jessica, I live in a small town in the state of West Virginia. Most teenagers around my age are day dreaming about there boyfriend, or what they are going to do next class period, who is going to fight after school. Me, on the other hand, am wondering "The universe is to big for just 6 billion humans to run alone, there HAS to be something else." Science and the unexplained has always been a favorite of mine. The small town atmosphere is crowding my dream and trying to prevent it from becoming true. After I graduate from Riverside High School (one more year may I add :O)) and university (which im wishing Miami University of Miami, Florida excepts me) I want to become something more involved in the science field. In my dreams, I would like to be the one to make contact with the unknown and "the little green men" I want to be the first to ever find a discovery that will touch mankind in anyway possible.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I strongly believe extraterrestrial life exists. In my opinion the 99% of people that doesn't believe in the E.T., fear that it may be true. Not for the fear of universal war, or E.T.'s taking over the world. But the fear that the human race may be 2nd best, or 3rd...maybe even 5 or 80th best. I run SETI@home because it is my dream to be the first to find something other then this world. It is a great project, and should always be running.
