Personal background
i'm just a unixhead. I love BSD UNIX in its multiple forms.. it's kind of like loving chocolate as a Hershey bar or a Nestle Crunch.. they're all basically chocolatey goodness, but sometimes you want one more than another. I am a junior at Oklahoma State University majoring in Computer Science. I code in C/C and Java (when I'm tied to the masthead and forced to), and I'm endeavoring on learning TCL/Tk and Python. I am a novice OpenGL coder, as well as a novice Xlib coder, and I'm currently learning the goodness of CORBA.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
aliens exist, i'm proof.

we should send out very powerful streams of muzak to let E.T. know we do have a sense of humor.

I run seti@home because it's a really important project in the grand scheme of human life.. i'll never see E.T. .. but it's imperative that we eventually find those other civilizations that must be out there.

and i've got a lot of excess process time and I like showing my friends how my k6-3 450 BSD box can toast their paperweight winslug machines in packet processing.
