Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET must exist, it is our challenge to find a way to prove it.
I think that we have been ,for over a hundred years now ,(not on purpose of coarse, but just the same) all the trash we are sending out should be an obvious sign.
I built ten AMD systems that run seti pretty much 100% of the time.
I just supposed that, this is as important project.
This probably is the only way I could get envolved with the pure research. (that I would enjoy ,if ,I had the time and money to pursue.) well it has been nearly 10 years and 10 new amd based computers later and we(my family) are still here cranking out stats for seti at home. Just something to think about out there. There is over 4.5 million of us now and at 66watts each per hour per day we are deffinately making a substantial contribution to the scientific community, maybe some day they will pay us all back with helping with the light polution issues we all face! I know wishful thinking!
keep cranking!:-)
