Personal background
Male, Age 33 from Leicester in the United Kingdom. Occupation - Office worker. Hobbies are wayyy too many to list here - I like (and do) loads of stuff but PC's and building them are amongst my favourite. So much so that I am presently going for a diploma in PC Repair.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1: Extraterrestrial life MUST exist in my opinion - otherwise "its such a waste of space" (tm Contact). Seriuosly though, how dare we even think that there is only us out there - given that space is seemingly endless and we dont even take up a detectable percentage of the total!!

2: We should send some kind of signal. Surely everyone would love to know if there is anyone out there besides us?? Why worry about us being taken over? - if they are that powerful they could have done that by now anyway! And why would they want to? For instance, if there are beings like that out there, then that means there are probably more tastier beings than us out there too! he he.

3: I run seti@home cos I think its cool to take part in this - If my PC discovers it then so be it! - Either way, whoever finds it (and they will one day!),we will all look at EVERYTHING in a different light - thats for sure!
