Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Very likely extraterrestial exists and no idea when first contact will be made. As for benefits and dangers: Only time will tell. 2. Don't think a beacon is necessary given the amount of RF going into space already. 3. Running SETI@home is a good use of computing power that otherwise would be wasted.
