I think life exists on other worlds than our own. I think intelligent life is rare and very far away if it is out there. Since we have been sending radio waves out into space for something like a century, our signal is barely out there. An off world civilization capable of generating radio waves would have to be far older than ours just for us to receive their radio waves, and that's just in our local part of the galaxy. I will probably not live long enough to see us receive such a signal, but it doesn't hurt to look. Have our own radio waves even had time to reach our nearest neighboring solar system?
