Personal background
Hello everyone,

What can I say, I'm 41 years old and still have that same innate curiosity now, as an adult, that I had as a child when I played under the stars and gazed up constantly wondering why?, what if? and what or who is out there?

I live in the town of Howell, NJ which is in the central part of the state. I share my love and my life with my wife Kim, my daughter Madison, my son Joshua, Parker our beloved Newf and lot's of saltwater fish. Next to Math & Science, Space and Discovery, the Oceans are my next favorite wonder in this world.

I work for a Communications Company that tries to better all those around us with the things we make and create. I believe that we truly help those that we touch, and I hope to leave people and places I have visited and touched better than I found them....
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do I think that extraterrestrial life exists?

Absolutely, how could it not. I think it's arrogant to think other wise. I look at the world around me from a simple flower growing where one would not expect, to tiny organisms swiming around a coral reef, to the beauty and vastness of space and just think "There are absolutely no limits or impossibilities, so how could there not be other life elsewhere?"

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?

Yes, I also am a history buff and I think it's a shame that we lost much of our innocence and faith in man and others. I think it's sad that we don't always open our doors and hearts to others. That's what this beacon should be and should mean. Welcome and please do come in, share with us all about yourselves and we shall do the same.

3. Why do I run SETI@home?

Well, I grew up with Planet Of The Apes, 2001 A Space Oddysey, Star Trek and Star Wars. If those shows can't open up an already major fasination with the stars and space, I don't know what can.

This is also my way of sharing with others and hopefully making better the lives of everyone here on earth. I think that the Internet and Technology, applied the right way, can open up many impossibilities...
