Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm sure that there is somebody out there somewhere. Whether they have been and gone or are still to arrive I'm not sure. I would like to hope that they are not the bug-eyed monsters of Close Encounters and X Files. I would also hope that we are not so vain as to believe that we cannot learn from them. Will it be in my lifetime? I do hope so. Will Seti play its part, I'm convinced of it and if not, what a way to use computers!!
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
