| Born in Edmonton, Alberta in '64. Joined the Canadian Forces in '85 as a Electronics Technician. Since then have viisted a few places in Canada, namely east coast (Gander, Newfoundland and Debert, Nova Scoia), west coast (Masset, Queen Charlotte Islands British Columbia), Ontario (Ottawa), and the far north (CFS Alert, Nunvit). Like reading sci-fi, fantacy, war fiction, and playing computer games. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Yes I do think that extraterrestrial life does exist. The universe is too large for us to be the only intelligent life in it. Humans could discover it as soon as tomorrow or as late as next millenium (if we are still around). The benefits are that we could get another step up on teh technology ladder, Which is also the danger - we are barely handling what we are discovering on our own.
I run SETI@home to help speed up the discovery to a time I can appreciate, hopefully in my lifetime. |
