In the words of others, I am a computer nerd! It's the only excuse for running SETI@Home on 11 computers. My main motivation for doing this is gaining rank. I want to be on top. 1000th place seems sooooooo far away (32,000 units) I think I'll need some more computers!!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think life outside of this planet exists. We will probably discover this on Mars. I'd imagine a society elsewhere in this galaxy as developed as ours would already have presented itself. I think SETI@home is an interesting way to occupy your computer(s) time. I hope they come out with this next version (BOINIC) I keep reading about. I'd like to participate in other distributed computing projects while retaining my score from SETI!
