Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that extraterrestrial life does exist. How can we be the only life forms out of billions of other planets and billions of other stars. I do think that the human race will discover ET, if they haven't already done so. Sometimes I feel that some governments may have evidence of ET, but are respectfully not disclosing that information with the public. The benefits to finding ET could be help in technology (if able to communicate) and infinit other benefits. Unfortunately there could also be dangers. For example the human race could reject the alien life forms and attack them. The alien life forms could also be hostile (unlikely). I think that we should send messages for other life forms to find. The messages should say that we are a peaceful race (even though at this time it may not seem like it) and it should also say that we are just exploring to learn more. I run Seti@Home because I want to help look for ET if they haven't already been found. I think that the Seti project is really good interesting.
