Personal background
I am a 51 year old divirced male aurviving in El Paso, TX because no one lives in El Paso. I enjoy SCUBA as you all love seraching for intelligent life. I have come to realize there is bery limited intelligent life on earth, so it only makes sense to search for it elsewhere.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.) a.) Yes.
b.) Extraterrestrials will expose themselves to us when they are of the belief that we, humans, will not harm them. As earthlings, wee kill anything and everything we are unfamiliar or afraid of. Estraterreatrials are aware of our behaviorial patters and are intelligent enough to not step in front of a run away train.
c.) Exchange of information and technology. The only danger is most probably on that of the extraterrestrials. The only possible exposure to humans is gaining an enlightenment from ET's and possibly exposure to ailments which we are not immune. But then again, in my opinion, that is not necessarilly a bad thing.
2.) a.) I don't believe so, they already knopw we are here.
3.) a.) To assist in the search. b.) If I didn't support it, I wouldn't be participating in the @home project. c.) No
