I am a fourty something, at least for a few more years :-)
I have a wife and four young children - the eldest is just 6.
I have always been interested in what's out there - I joined the British Astronomical Association whilst still at school. I even started to read Astronomy at University, but converted to Maths (for me the easy option).

I can't help feeling it would be an act of monumental arogance to assume we are all that there is in the Universe: I accept that God could, but why would he bother putting so much there if we didn't need it and it wasn't for anyone else; of course if God is a concept too far for you, then there is even less reason to assume that we are alone!
So if we are not alone, let's find them and quick. |
