I'm 32, a network technician, and an amateur radio operator. Any useful information that can be gathered from this research is very much worth the idle time of any computer. I do as much as I can to volunteer in the community here so why not help out on a larger scale.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because there are so many benefits from the research that they are too numerous to name. Mankind's search for knowledge is what keeps us going forward. Any help that I can provide is definitely worth it. I think that this project is only a part of what we can learn from these kinds of studies.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
