Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?
ANY information we can gain from our universe whether it be extra terrestrial intelegance or whatever else we may discover as a result of this project is of great use and hugely worthwhile. We know so little despite what we may like to believe!
At the end of the day, I'm human,I want to know whatever is there to know!!
It makes a lot of sense, given the huge amount of data to crunch, that as many computers as possible should be used, and I think this whole idea of using otherwise wasted computer time and energy is an inspired one.
