1. Who knows for sure? Let's wait till they find us or we find out for ourselves. :) Benefits and dangers depend more on the kind of life-form we encounter and on our reaction to them.
2. Yes, by all means, we should transmit. Guess, just a repeating signal that looks like a non-natural one will be enough to indicate our presence in the universe.
3. I have spare cpu-cycles, you need them for something that I am excited about - reasons enough for me. I could learn a thing or two on the way... |
