Personal background
I'm a stay-at-home dad in Chicago with a little daughter and a little son. I'm currently trying to learn Java (among other languages) which explains why I'm sitting here at midnight typing this. I enjoy cycling, golf, and working around the house. Except for that ugly job part I guess you could say that's pretty Ward Cleaverish.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It's hard to say is ET life exists. One would think that we might have heard from them by now. On the other hand, it seems pretty unlikely that in this vast universe we're the only ones. I am running SETI@home because I believe in the power of cooperative computing and hope that other distributed projects such as these can someday affect the world in a good way.
