Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In theory ET exists.Unmanned exploration is the key to finding evidence of life elsewhere. Without probes it is unlikely humankind will travel far. Longterm, over the next several billion years, the human race will need to find a way to survive elsewhere. By then the sun will become a red giant maybe even extending past Mars.
Only by examining and testing every possiblity can we extend our knowledge and resources. SETI is as much a part of space exploration as the probes, space stations and vehicles, and telescopes we now have.
