Profile: Darren Webb

Personal background
Hi, fellow seti@home user's.
I am Darren Webb, i live in Manchester, in the UK.
I have been interested in outer space most of my life, and am a keen sci-fi fan.
i am 32, married, with two boys, and a new one on the way.
My love of thing's sci-fi led me to find this site, and i was amazed i had not found it before.
I would love to be the first person to find a signal that contaned real data or text, that we could read.
The discovery of life outside of this galaxy, or universe, would be the greatest discovery ever made. I only hope it is me to find the WOW signal.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI has to be one of the most important part's of human development.
We have all heard people say "to think we are alone in the universe is foolish", but how foolish are we.
we send probe's into space, out of our own solar system, into the far reaches of space, but where are they going, who or what will find them, what will they make of us?
Are we right to be doing this some people ask?
Answer: YES.
Human nature demand's that we question everything, no matter how small.
We are always seaching for answers to thing's we dont understand or comprehend, if we stop asking the question's then we fall foul of ignorace.
If we fall foul of ignorance, Then we become a race made deaf and blind to all, but the petty fight's of our own goverment's.
For this to happen, It would be a sad day for all of humanity.
