Personal background
My name is Robert Kunov. I´m 30 years old and i live in Vienna, Austria, the heart of Europe.
Astrophysics is a hobby of mine since I´m able to think so I had to join seti@home after i red about in in a science letter 2001.
At this time i only had a very old pc with a 486 CPU. My first workunit needed 38 hours to complete... I was little disappointed... ;-) But now I´m sitting on a Mac G4 operated by MacOSX and my workunits are now finished in accurate time. I´m now on the 788643 rank and I try to improve it... :-)

Update 2013: Now I´m 38 , and I´m luckily running a lot more faster PCs now... The rest is fine. Just keep calculating... :-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My opinion about seti@home:
Well, there is that Fermi-Paradoxon, but I think especially this is a reason more to join seti. Even we´ll find nothing than at least we know there is nothing! But maybe... ;-) And this is the spirit of mankind. If there is the slightest possibility, we HAVE to try it. Thus we go further. And even today we can say we found more than we expected. This unbelieveable amount of data which was recorded in Arecibo and calculated by us who joined seti allows scientists even today to create a new view about our universe. So I´m telling everybody to go on with seti to continue the story of success!
