Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am sure, that extraterrestrial life exists, just the probability is "proof" enough. Thinking about being the only ones in the universe would be quite stupid. I guess the approach of SETI@HOME is one of the best approaches to "find" such life. Althoug there is only a small chance, that we will do that search just during the time another species is using the same technique we use to communicate. I hope that extraterrestrial life - if we would ever meet - will have the wisdom (and intellect) to act peacefully.

I run the software to contribute a small part to a project I think is absolutely fascinating. Besides that there is also a small selfish impact: Since I run SETI@HOME I started looking into the sky with much more open eyes and mind again.
