Personal background
I live in Massachussetts and I'm 37. I was forced from the masonary trade due to a motorcycle accident, and I'm currently finishing my studies at UMASS Boston with a major in Political Science, and minors in Philosophy and Anthropology. I plan on attending law school after receiving my BA. It was my studies in biological and evolutionary Anthropology that heightened my interest in the possibility of life evolving somewhere else in the universe. My studies are actually hobbies of mine. I follow politics and scientific discoveries closely. Other than that I enjoy golf, music, bike riding (even motorcycles still), and surfing around on the net.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe within the vast universe life has evolved somewhere else. Other than the current methods used by SETI the only other realistic chance of discovering intelligent life would be them visiting us. I think the SETI@home projest was brilliant idea. It not only harness the processing power of millions of computers that would otherwise sit idle, but also expands the analysis of data in a cost effective way. I'm looking foward to a long relationship helping SETI@home with their search.
