Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've been a member of this site for several years now. When I first learned of this project, I joined immediately. I've been a UFO enthusiast since I was a small boy and saw my first unexplained light in the night sky (most likely a plane)...but my imagination was spurned from that day forward. I think it's a terrific idea to utilize the personal computers of millions of internet users to 'crunch data'...what a great sense of purpose we all can share in with the underlying hope we must all feel to be the one user whose machine actually discovers the first intelligent signal....wow.
