| I am currently a doctoral student in Greensboro, North Carolina. I am a trumpet player, and my degrees are in music. Originally from Michigan, I am 25 years old, and my wife and I have two dogs, Ruger and Red. I love computers, and own a mobile recording business. I run SETI on a dual Opteron workstation that I normally use for recording, and built specifically for recording purposes. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Personally, I don't believe extraterrestrial life exists. My reasoning stems from my religious faith, and I am quite sure that we're here alone. I don't mind transmitting a beacon- what would it hurt? I run SETI@home because I am proud of my workstation and like to use SETI as a sort of benchmark, and I guess I figure that other potentially useful information could be gleaned from the calculations that are being performed on my computer. I am more than happy to lend a helping hand, even though I'm fairly sure it's not going to produce the results everyone is hoping for. |
