Personal background
I'm Didier Geenens, a 20 y.o. student from Ronse, which is a little city in Belgium. I'm studying industrial engineer in Ghent. I do not have any hobbies for the moment, but I'll make sure I'll have one in the near future.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI is a very interesting program. It is a very good way to make full use of computers worldwide, because they would be spilling a lot of energy if they didn't run a program like this.

I do think it is possible that there is life out there, and we'll certainly find it. Allthough it may take us a while. And, of course, if it is intelligent life.

We should transmit beacons, but they shouldn't contain much information, except for how they can contact us if they receive these transmissions. Then, we can consider to sent more information.
