I'm just sitting here in Las Vegas, running Seti on a Ramdisk.. AMD Athlon 750 Overclocked to 825 (110MHz FSB).. 768 Megs of ram running at 141MHz. Runs in the background on a Ramdisk (128M in size) on Windows 2000 Professional. Even while i'm playing Counter-Strike or Anarchy Online (And boy do I miss those extra frames..)
I usually go by the name ThePugilist anywere.. Look me up sometime.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Eventually Seti will pay off. I've been a regular of Seti on 14 different machines over my lifetime (2 of them were big mainframes, and yes I did have permission) and I fully believe that someday we will find something.. There has to be something else out there.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
