Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Other Civilisations must exist. We have but one star in our solar system which has life and when you look up and see the millions of stars in our milky way and then see pictures of thousands of other galaxies......statistically there must be life elsewhere.

There is also plenty of evidence on this earth that we already have been visited by other people not of this earth...Pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu, Piri-Ri Maps, Stone Henge, Nazca Lines, Easter Island, old Sumerian Civilisation which used to count in Base 60 and had advanced astronomical knowledge.

Some think that we may have been genetically engineered in our Gods image around 200,000 years ago which may explain the missing link problem.

Humans most likely are already being watched. We must be the most ignorant civilisation in the universe...a disease of this earth.

I think Seti@home is a great idea. It makes great use of idle processing power all over the world. I run the seti@home project on a dual processor server running linux and my laptop running win2k. I use the text based seti client on both Linux & Windows machines. I use Seti Driver & Seti Spy on Windows based machines and TkSeti on Linux. I'd recommend Seti Spy for every one and dump the standard Seti@Home and get the text based one.
