Personal background
I am a college student interested in deep space since I was about 7 years old. I am majoring in industrial engineering at UTA, and will go on to get some kind of masters/doctorate in engineering or physics. I hope to one day work on solar missions and do research.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe there is other terrestrial life out there. Whether it has evolved to a point to be anywhere near as sophisticated as a human is questionable. The universe has trillions of galaxies. There are billions of solar systems in each harvesting planets as well. The probabability of the conditions and elements nessasary to form a planet such as ours is tiny, but there are more than trillions of planets to multiply that small percentage by. So, there are deffinatly other planets with life.
