I am an SAP Platinum Technical Consultant working in the US for SAP America. My primary interests are in Performance and Tuning and recently started getting involved in HPC clusters (Beowulfs especially). I am in the process of building a 8 node 16 cpu linux based cluster using Oscar and Red Hat 7.3 with hopes of finishing this over the summer (2003). Just finished building a new home machine using Dual 64 bit AMD Opteron Processors on a Tyan Board running SuSE 9.3 Pro X86_64. I am running the new Boinc vesion of Seti on it and it seems to have excellent performance.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI because I do believe that there is life somewhere else out there and I am hoping that my participation in this project will somehow contibute to a discovery.
