Personal background
I am from Glenolden Pa.(a small town outside of Philadelphia) 40 years old and a postal worker for 21 years. My ultimate goal would be to discover life on another world. I would also give just about anything that I have to travel into space.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestrial life does exist. I think that it is foolish to think that we are the only ones in the universe. I don't know how we will discover other life. It will probably be from a project like SETI. The benefits from discovering life on other worlds is endless. The dangers I think are small. If a civilization is that advanced then they probably already know that we are here. A beacon should definitely be sent to the universe, about ourselves. I run SETI@home for two reasons. 1- to help in the discovery of other life and 2- for the odd chance that I am the one to dicover it. COULD YOU IMAGINE DICOVERING THE FIRST EXTRATERRESTRIAL LIFE ON YOUR COMPUTER.
