Personal background
My wife and I have a small business at home selling silk wedding flowers.

My full time job is as a network administrator. I was actually shown Seti@Home to use as a great benchmarking tool and a good program for exercising a new piece of computer equipment before it goes into production.

One of our all time favorite movies is "Contact." That was the first thing I thought of when I found Seti@Home.

When I was in 5th grade I had the pleasure of going to Space Camp. I was a little too young to truly appreciate it, but I will never forget that experience. I have been hooked on space ever since.

If you know anyone who is getting married and wants to save a lot of money on the flowers and decorations check out:

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I 100% believe that there is other life out there.

Even within our own solar system there are clues that life probably once existed on Mars. Venus has an atmosphere with so many different gasses in it that could easily stat breeding life one day.

What if the planets are slowly drifting further and further from the sun? So life on Mars died off first and eventually Venus will take the place of Earth as the planet in our solar system that houses intelligent life.

We were even more excited to read about BIONIC. We would love to help out with the geological and atmospheric results. Think about the possibility of your computer helping catch a natural disaster a few minutes sooner. It could save millions of lives.

I use Seti@Home for testing out all of the new computer equipment at work and we have it at home as a great conversational piece to get our friends hooked.
