Personal background
Been doing Distributed projects for quite some years. It all started with the Gamma Ray Flux project when it was a Java applet running on the creators Uni website. Had a group of friends who all clubbed in for the Gamma Ray Flux project when it went to Dcypher.net and we started The Collective, but the project dissapeared along with Dcypher.net and our group. Went solo and have contributed to nearly every project on and off ever since. Now spend most of my time "Living" in the Star Wars Galaxies universe and occasionally leave to look at stuff like this :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think anything that can potentialy help or benfit mankind at very little cost has to be worth while. Also with the power of todays technology anyone with a PC and Net access can contribute to science.....Absolutly fantastic i think.
