"m23di" now is hitting SIX years by May 2008. This computer is being used as a file/ print server. EoL est 2012.
I gave my laptop "Anna" to my parents.
Since then I upgraded my PC to "Dark_Matter-MP" and got a new laptop, "Dark-Matter."

I'm sticking to the Intel series now since I can 'afford' it now with my job and will continue in building/ upgrading these bad girls to fill my network needs.

Computers are the best!
So far I've been blessed to have a laptop and a PC both in my room.
Hey two is better than one!

I did not really get into computers until one day my cd-rom stopped working. My Uncle helped me out and bought me a Kenwood 72x ( Thank you Ninong! ). When we got home, he went to sleep and told me to put in the cd-rom myself. Gee, I never knew anything about the interior of the PC at the time. IDE cables, master/salve/cable select were all question marks to me as it is in the device manager. Well, I solved that problem after thirty minutes of guess and check, thanks to the bios that told me there were two masters on IDE1 :D.
After that rest became history!
Since then I built five computers and help built at least three or more.
The best one I built is "m23di" (check out my computers on this seti site, its the one with "Unknown CPU". It is really an AMD BARTON running 2.1Ghz, overclocked ofcourse, so it should be equivalent with an AMD 3000+. My bios on that computer doesnt support the barton cpu, that is why it says "Unknown CPU". This is my best computer because everyone helped out to mod/buy parts for it: Friends, Parents, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, and myself. It may not be the fastest, but I keep upgrading at least every other 2 years. 2005's upgrade is a total of 1Gig of ram @ 380Mhz, Barton CPU, MSI Radeon RX955-TD256 Video card.
M23Di is only 3 years old, and I plan to keep her Forever! The longest computer I ever used was six years. Half way there! Next upgrade I'm planning to put a better Power Supply, Codegen deserves a handclap for keeping m23di running quite well. Although with the new CPU and Video card, when I slapped the PSU Windows goes to a blue screen... eeeeek Ohwell. Till I update again!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1)High School teach Ms. Johnson was running this during physics class. Rest is history. Thanks Ms. Johnson!

And also...

Just Trying To Help ET Phone Home...

ET PHONE HOME

2)In my life time, I doubt we'll ever make contact, but knowing I helped in a way make me know my units and computers did their job.

3)We need to work with those update servers, I need to crunch more units! :P
