From the Dallas TX area. I am 51 years old, Principal of Tavares Systems Group, a technology solutions firm. I collect and play saxophones (mostly antiques) and various other instruments.
Computers are a big part of my avocational life and currently have PC's running AMD Athlon, AMD Phenom X4 955, AMD Athlon 64, Centrino (x2). The Athlon is a Win 32 box, both 64-bit boxes are running Win 7 64-bit and the two Centrinos are running Debian Linux. At one time, I had a few other computers, mostly SGI Octane and Origin computers running on my behalf so my Setti Classic numbers are fairly impressive.
I got involved in SETI@home several years ago and have been a consistent contributor every since. I consider discovering extraterrestrial life only a matter of time and I hope the lifeforms we discover are in a similar stage of development (or perhaps a bit farther along).
