Profile: Christophe Cottin

Personal background
Hello, I live in Paris. 30 years old, I am an engineer data processing specialist. Impassioned astronomy, I still remember my nights, spent observing the stars when I was 15 years old in Montpellier.
I hope to observe again, far from the luminous pollution of Paris, by buying a telescope. The craters of the Moon, the solar's tasks, the Saturn's rings, the ballet of the Jupiter satellites are extraordinary shows.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe in the existence of an extraterrestrial life. The next sentence drawn from the film 'Contact' summarizes my thought : 'if it is just us it seems like an awful waste of space'.
This research is fascinating. It will be long, without any doubt, because the man wastes time, money and energy in unproductive and useless actions on the unviserse's scale.
With the spacecrafts Voyager 1 and 2, we already sent messages. But envoy the same type of data via a radio message seems to be an excellent idea.

Viva SETI and Viva Linux !
