Personal background
Well, I'm born and raised from San Diego, California, and right now, I work for J.P. Morgan Chase as a programmer in their sub-prime mortgage side...(exciting, eh?) I'm 29 and aging and I was running seti@home on 2 computers, but the second is now disconnected and is in my son's room...anyway, I used to be very addicted to Everquest, but I'm recovering, really! well, I still play alittle bit...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think that the Universe is to large to NOT have other life in it(translation: Yes, I do believe there is extraterrestrial life out there)
Personally, I think that some humans(i.e. Big Brother) have already found it and I don't think the ET's would be too much of a danger, but if they just announced it, alot of people's ideas about God and such would come to a grinding halt and would have a global impact...now I still think it WOULD be a great idea for them to announce that they have found ET life, so that people can know the truth...but I'm not in charge..

I do think we should transmit a beacon so others can find us, something like a galactic symbol for "We are here!"

I believe that if Big Brother won't tell us about ET's, then the people should find it out on their own!(i.e. Seti)
