I am British (for now!), but have lived in New York since 1996, now married to an American. I work in Treasury and Capital Markets. At University in London, I studied Astronomy, but found Capital Markets to be more lucrative! Hobbies include my recording studio where I write variations on the Trance theme, and a large 1850 house in upstate NY, very run-down, that I am restoring.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Statistically, I tend to the view that there must be other life. Unfortunately, assuming our current scientific knowledge is accurate, logistics preclude a meeting unless the "others" are very close by in cosmological terms. SETI gives us an opportunity to prove it exists, but probably not to make effective contact. |
