Personal background
Of all things I would like to see, it's something that could possibly be more advanced than us, but still couldn't beat us at mud-wrestling.

Think about it: the most uncivilized of sports, and something or someone comes from beyond the beyond, and still can't go back to their primordial roots, and attempt to beat us at one of the few things we're good at: fighting.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Sure there's other creatures out there, doesn't matter: it's a noble effort, and it deserves the processing power of my computer while I'm asleep.

We should just send what we know about our surroundings, and try to send un-compressed images of our cars and women in bikinis.

Seti@home is something I can say I run because I don't know why I shouldn't: I think someone should make a deal with a computer manufacturer, or a broadband service provider to pack Seti@home with it: more units, that way.
