Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I think there exist many intelligent alien species,

but also I dont think that a human and alien mind is compatible.

If we would receive data from aliens we probably create a big new branch in

science like Lems solaristic, in the end the only thing we learn is something about ourselves...

I think there are no dangers in discovering alien life, if so, well then shit happens ;-)

2a. Humans should transmit a beacon for others to find, it helps to give us a warm feeling in the heart doesn't it?

2b. Maybe a poem of Shakespeare

maybe some funny pictures of Bart Simpson

hey sending nude pictures of Pam Anderson would be nice - lost astronauts in far future would probably like to receive this one ;-)

doesn't really matter...

3a. Uh well seti@home is a nice tool to stress test my cpu. On the other hand maybe one day my name is in the newspaper, that would be cool ;-)

3b. Seti program is doing fine.
