Personal background
I have been curious of the universe since I was a young boy. I grew up in Muscatine, Iowa, and Joined the Marine Corps. I attended electronics school in 29 Palms CA. Then went to Japan Where I built my 1st computer. Shortly after coming back to the states I heard about seti@home that is when I signed on.

I currently have 3 computers running actively while they are turned on. The 4th one is in storage at the moment Due to lack of space in our current living area.
They are not much but, here are the specs
1-500 MHZ Desktop
1-350 MHZ Desktop
1-600 MHZ Laptop
1-233 MHZ Desktop

My connection to the Internet is a DSL, which is pretty good most of the time.

I enjoy Computers, the internet, a good book, fixing or repairing anything, loud rock music, and great beer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestial's do exsist. I used to dream of being on one of the first Star Trek type space ships traveling across the galaxy as a child. If I ever get rich enough I plan on buying a seat on a space trip, like that guy the Russians took with them. So I can atleast say I was in space.

I think we should transmit a beacon for others to find. It should contain a star chart of our location.

I run Seti@home in hopes of proving that we are not alone. I think that the feds should donate more money to space research/travel and the search for life and expansion from our own home world earth to space and other planets. If something happened that earth were to be Destroyed. Then I would hope that MAN had the ability to continue ot prosper on a new home.
