I am member of the generation sandwiched between the boomers and the Xers (that is, those born after 1960 and before 1975). A little like both, but unlike more than alike.
I currently reside in the midwest of the United States with my family and an assortment of pets.
I work in the IT field, with over 15 years experience. I also write, both about IT and other subjects such as history, politics and the infrequent Science Fiction piece, poetry, and short story.

It is only a matter of time before we find another intelligence in the universe, or as is more likely, they find us.
I run SETI@home in an effort to help locate another intelligence. Just as amateur astronomers are frequently the ones who find comets or new bits of intergalactic junk, it may just be the person with a home computer who finds the anomoly in the data being analyzed for alien signals. |
