Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It seems quite improbable that life does not exist elsewhere in the universe, and the galaxy for that matter. With as many billions of stars that there are in just this galaxy, I find it hard to believe that the conditions didn't exist elsewhere to allow life to develop.
