Personal background
Hello! I'm 20 years old, and work as a self emplyed IT manager, when BOINC came out for SETI, I renewed my interest in it, and now I have it as the screensaver for my windows computers over my network. When working on customer computers, I ask their permission to install it, and nearly all of the time they agree, saying that SETI@Home sounds like a good use of idle computer time. My hope is that in time, we'll find something more interesting than a pulsar or a spy sateilite.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because it's a nice screensaver, and it's fun to see how various processors compare. I'm fascinated that the 2ghz pentium four, that had a lower FLOP number than my athlon 1900, does a data unit roughly in half the time
