Personal background
I am very interested for life in Space since I saw the Startrek series in 1969.
Else I got nothing to do with this matter.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life exists for sure. All other opinions are stupid.
The possibility that humans will discover it are very low.
The danger if that life is found is real. Since the HIV-virus we know that human cant defend other lifeforms effectively.

Until now, we are not able to speed up that beacon, that its faster than life.
A lifeform that solve that problem, can find us, if it wants.

Seti@home is for me my small and only possible part, to help the science.

I really dont know, whether that project is really helpful, but the sense of life is to develope further. I think Seti@home is a part of it.
