I am a 33 year old father ,husband ,and citizen of the United States of America that is PROUD to be a part of the Search for Extra Terrestrial Life .

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I am an IMMENSE believer in the work that SETI has been doing to find that proverbial needle in the celestial haystack.
There is no doubt in my mind that the sign that they are looking for is certainly there and to think otherwise is far too narrow-minded for us AND OUR LEADERS to believe .
Why can't we start a lobby to the government like the oil companies and the insurance companies to let them know that WE THE PEOPLE are as concerned (if not more) about this endeavor as we are about the price of gas or what HMO we have .Why can't we? We CAN.This to me seems like a no brainer that somehow seems to evade the ones that can give it a voice .
I don't know about the rest of the country ,but being "Pro-Discovery" would DEFINITELY be the deciding factor on who I voted into any public office .
What about the rest of you?
