Personal background
I live on the Isle of Wight, united kingdom.
I'm 29 years old and losing my hair faster than I can grow it!

Bit of an underachiever at school, mind was always in other galaxies.

My fanatic fasination with space(both inner & outer space) lead me to join the Royal Navy as a submariner.
But life in a 17500 tonne sardine tin didn't work out, so I left.

Thought long and hard about what my mind always comes back to...

Physics and Astronomy,
I start my degree in September 2003, with the Open University, United Kingdom.

The start of a very long and hard journey, that I am going to enjoy.

As regards to a photo, I don't want to scare off new users.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm not a fan of opinions, I like ideas better.

Idea 1.
I don't know whether extraterrestrial life exists or not.
Either we will find them or they will find us.
If ET is found or pays use a visit maybe they will "save us", "destroy us" or nothing will happen at all.

Idea 2.
We transmit all the time, TV, Radio and proberbly a few ways we don't know about.
What should we transmit, How about "stay clear of this planet, we have a habit of destroying everything we don't understand"

Idea 3.
