Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
do extraterrestrials exist? of course they do, for us as humans to even consider the thought of being the only living and thinking beings in the vast expanse of space is totally unrealistic, astronomy should be part of any educational cirriculum so that everyone understands just how important it is. will we ever discover alien life? not in my livetime unfortuneately, but i can always hope. we would firstly need to discover how to travel at the speed of light, which we are knowhere near yet, so a beacon transmitting a message would have to do for the time being. why haven`t they tried to contact us yet? or have they? who knows, maybe they consider us too insignificant. I run seti because its my way of making a small contribution for the search for other life forms. I totally support this project, but i wish the governments would come clean about what they already know, it would save us alot of trouble.
