Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that there is other life forms out there. Humans have discovered aliens, but the gov't will not disclose it. I believe that we have already benefited from some of it already. Back when the Roswell crash happened, the gov't took some of that technology and gave bits and pieces to different companys and that is how we advanced so fast. How else could we developed computers parts, rockets, and other hightech things that we were able to think up in such a short period of time.
Humans should transmit a beacon to others in outerspace. But it is hard to figure out what to send. With all the radio and tv waves that have been broadcast out into space, it's been like 60 years of transmitting. Some form of life out there must have picked it up to hear/see what came from here.
I run SETI@home cause I want to help out with finding life in space.
